Beans, beans, the magical fruit!

Nana Cider loves pizza and tacos just like the next guy. Probably more! So I try to feed my body the right foods so I can indulge on the fun foods when I want. Taking a shot of Nana Cider a couple times a day is a great way to start. Packed with 9 good for your body ingredients. You just feel great knowing you started your day with us. 

What about the rest of the day. I love my chopped cabbage, carrot, garlic salad for lunch each day. I use a vegan protein in it everyday. Today, I slow simmered some black eyed peas in a pot of water with a little sea salt and a splash of olive oil. Once they were to my desired tenderness, I drained them. Next, I bagged them up in snack sized ziplock baggies, and into the freezer they went. Now, I just grabbed a bag out the night before, put it in fridge to thaw and into my salad they go! You can do this with any beans you love. You can use canned beans of course, I prefer these as they don't have any unwanted ingredients in them. Each 1/2 cup packs 7 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber. Win!!
